There can potentially be serious bugs in the software, and we might not even get bitten by them. *yay*. The daemon is started as root at system init, so the privelaged port can be binded to, then it drops to uid/gid lp. Spiffed up the docs. All config files are installed as .sample. Lets continue this idea, it is definately "the way to go". rc5/rc6 support. reflected in the inclusion masks. hope i didnt miss anything.

| | | | | | | | | | | | administrator's workstations. This is a neat piece of software, and I've used it in the past on corporate networks for managing printer firmware and queues, etc.. But I have to honestly say that HP's self-extracting install program sucks. Also the whole binary-only package thing bugs me. But its a nice addition for Gentoo Linux. I hope! :) I could use suggestions for improving it. Enjoy. --Donny
