I have removed the pre/postinst functions in this version; I do not believe
that functionality is needed any longer.

The build system for this package forces -O0, and we have an ancient
bug for that. The only way to fix it is with a patch, and this new
revision adds a patch stripping the -O0.
There is also a build failure in the existing 6.x series
ebuilds. There is wxWidgets support hidden behind USE=X, but we make a
call to some wxWidgets stuff unconditionally and it crashes when
wxWidgets is not present (i.e. with USE="-X").
The elisp-common eclass is no longer used and has been dropped. A call
to strip-flags has been removed, and flag-o-matic "downgraded" to
toolchain-funcs.

see [1] for details.

This new revision doesn't add any new features; it merely gets us on
EAPI=6 moving forward. An "unused" 5.6 series ebuild was removed at
the same time.

There is an upstream bug that causes the build to fail on x86 with
gcc-4.9. There was an earlier fix for gcc-4.8, and this new revision
has a fix that also works for gcc-4.9.
And, since we're no longer inheriting depend.apache.eclass, I was
finally able to update the ebuild to EAPI=6.
A redundant earlier ebuild for php-7.0.9 was also removed.

Remove the remaining dependencies on deprecated python-updater,
and update the postinst messages appropriately. For Python 2.7,
the message has been removed altogether since it is the oldest version
supported by PYTHON_TARGETS. For the remaining versions, just inform
about potential PYTHON_TARGETS changes necessary.
The modified versions are not revision-bumped to avoid unnecessary
rebuilds due to a minor change. The versions that are still
newest-visible (i.e. not replaced by another version or revision bump)
will be bumped when python-updater is lastrited.
