proj/gentoo: Initial commit
This commit represents a new era for Gentoo: Storing the gentoo-x86 tree in Git, as converted from CVS. This commit is the start of the NEW history. Any historical data is intended to be grafted onto this point. Creation process: 1. Take final CVS checkout snapshot 2. Remove ALL ChangeLog* files 3. Transform all Manifests to thin 4. Remove empty Manifests 5. Convert all stale $Header$/$Id$ CVS keywords to non-expanded Git $Id$ 5.1. Do not touch files with -kb/-ko keyword flags. Signed-off-by: Robin H. +##
+## All lines beginning with `## DP:' are a description of the patch.
+## DP: Peter Eisentraut reported a regression in the whitespace handling of
+## DP: refentrytitle content during filename creation:
+## DP: http://bugs.debian.org/420153. The problem is, that upstream first
+## DP: replaces all spaces (but not linebreaks btw) with underlines and then
+## DP: it tries to normalize the result. This means, that a linebreak with
+## DP: additional whitespaces results in manpage names like 'foo_ ____bar.9'.
+## DP: So what we basically do in this patch is, that we first normalize the
+## DP: refentrytitle and then replace any spaces left with underlines.
