+The question was raised whether the default sync type on new installations 
+could be switched to git. Already in the mailing list thread it became 
+clear that our infrastructure is not ready for that yet.
+
+During discussion, the fragility of the initial cloning was pointed out as 
+one main issue. The topic was referred to the mailing lists for 
+clarification and further planning.
